Server configuration

After you have finished installing the IP Softphone 2050, you must configure the server to

recognize and accept calls to and from the IP Softphone 2050. For information about how to

configure your server, refer to the documentation that came with your server.

IP Softphone 2050 Configuration Utility

You configure the IP Softphone 2050 using the settings dialog box.

To start the configuration utility using the Control Panel

• Click Start > Control Panel > IP Softphone 2050.

To start the configuration utility using the Start menu

• Click the Start > All Programs > Nortel > IP Softphone 2050 > IP Softphone 2050

Settings.

To start the configuration utility within the application

• Click File > Settings.

The IP Softphone 2050 Settings utility has tabs for

•Server

• Sound Devices

• USB Headset Adapter

• Additional tabs for system administrators
